Founded as Los Angeles Air Service. Purchased by Transamerica Corp. in 1968. Purchased Saturn Airways in 1976. Renamed Transamerica Airlines in 1979 and ceased operations in 1986. Started up briefly again in 1988 and ceased operations again in 1989.
